MY TIME AT

BUILDWITT

I started as a field videographer for the media team, traveling around the US shooting commercials / recruiting videos for blue-collar companies to use for the purpose of attracting the next generation of workers into the Dirt World. However, when the position opened up for the lead of the company’s YouTube channel a few months into my employment, I knew I had to throw my hat into the ring. They had been trying to grow into the YouTube space for four years since the company’s origin, but didn’t know how to leverage the platform to grow a following. In 4 years they had amassed a solid 10,000 followers, however, 9 months after I took over the position we grew the channel to nearly 160,000. With me traveling the world shooting the content for the channel I also lead a rotating bench of 7 editors, training them how to edit for retention and more importantly how to edit for our audience. The channel has since grown an additional 50k and amassed 23 million views across the channel.

In my opinion, the most important part of building a YouTube channel is getting people to click on your content.

Shocking, I know

TITLE & THUMBNAIL

are the first thing your audience sees and is what draws in new viewership.

I designed and conceived every thumbnail/title and take pride in the results they’ve driven.
Below are some of my favorites, they all link to the videos too if any happen to catch your attention ; )
